New the Zephyr mini flash hider? Almost. The most observant will probably have already recognized the design of our flash hider for 22 LR rifle In fact, it is a custom part that we have been manufacturing for many years, in XC38 steel, also called C35.
But who says steel, also says consequent weight. To be precise, the original weighs 62 grams (2.19 oz). That’s why we now produce it in aluminum, in two variations of diameter.
The largest (1″) is called Zephyr, and the smallest (.866″) Zephyr mini flash hider. It is this second one that you can order on this page.
Its weight is then divided by 3, to display on the scale only 20 grams (0.70 oz). Still as much style, but less weight, a winning recipe for small arms.

Of course, the use of aluminum has its advantages, but there’s also disadvantages. So although it is not a muzzle brake, this accessory will still suffer the full stress of the gases expanding at the muzzle of the weapon. It should therefore be exposed only to rimfire calibers:

- .22 WMR
- .17 Mach 2
We produce the Zephyr mini flash hider in two different threads. The 1/2 UNF (also known as 1/2×20 TPI) and the 1/2 UNEF (also known as 1/2×28 TPI).
The first is more common in Europe. The second most common in the USA. Choose the one you need from the drop-down menu to the right of the image.
The quality of French manufacturing
We are proud to produce this flash hider in France, on our CNC machines. We use an aeronautical grade 7075 T6 aluminum, for a rendering that meets our requirements.
Each Zephyr mini flash hider is checked several times during its different manufacturing stages. It must be of perfect regularity and flawless concentricity. Drilled and then flared, its central channel will be able to let all projectiles through.
So that the surface finish lasts over time, we entrust it to an aluminum anodizing professional. No kitchen trick, we want a perfect finish.
The result is a high-end muzzle device, that we are proud to ship anywhere in the world.
