More than just a thread protector

Our standard Microcomp thread protector has two purposes. First, protect your rifle’s threads when no accessories are being used. Then take the opportunity to boost its look.

Because while we already offer several thread protectors in our catalog, the shooter sometimes wants a little extra style. So here we are granting his wish. Neither a flash hider nor a muzzle brake: a Microcomp.

The design is resolutely modern and compact. This is to give character, adding as little length as possible. The 3 vents are at 60°, so there’s no need to index the device.

Standard Microcomp thread protector

On this page, you’ll find the standard model, for .22 LR rifles. We make it in 7075 T6 aluminum. It is therefore particularly light, and will not cause any wear to the steel threads at the end of your barrel.

To be compatible with both American and European weapons, we manufacture it in two threads:

• The ½ UNEF (also known as 1/2×28 TPI)
• The ½ UNF (also known as 1/2×20 TPI)

Please note that in both cases, the hole at the front of this standard Microcomp thread protector is only 7 mm (.275″). .22 LR ammunition only!

A custom part always in the right size

If you’re going to look for a little more aesthetic, you might as well do it right. The conical base of the Microcomp is therefore available in several sizes to make the most accurate connection with the diameter of your barrel. Choose yours from the drop-down menu to the right of the image.

But for even more specific needs, note that we also produce a Pistol version for handguns and a Varmint version for heavy barrels.
