On long-range rifles, it is common to encounter a threaded heavy barrel. Then you can mount a silencer or a muzzle brake, which is useful for gaining shooting comfort. But when there is no muzzle device on it, the thread is vulnerable. A bad fall or accidental shock can quickly distort it, and it will be unusable in the future. M18x1 thread is usually found on large caliber European rifles. It is also sometimes called M18x100 metric and keeps maximum thickness at the muzzle. Thus it is used by the greatest gun manufacturers. We think of Sako (for its TRG 22), Tikka (for its T3X Sporter and T3X Tactical), Browning (for some X-Bolt Varmint), CZ (for its CZ 557 Varmint) and many others.

Careful European manufacturing

Since the M18x1 is a European thread, the French manufacture of this extended thread protector is desirable. We make them on the latest generation of CNC machines. To do so, we use a XC38 Steel, also known as C35. It reacts superbly to hot bluing, and you can enjoy a high-end finish at the height of the barrel.

To facilitate successive screwing and unscrewing, we perform an external knurling of great precision. Each piece also undergoes careful quality control at every stage of its manufacturing. The result is there : a high quality, durable thread protector, that is also pleasant to the eye.
