Why use our thread adapter 1/2×28 TPI to M13.5×1 LH ? First, because the thread at the end of a gun barrel can be of different kinds. And it is therefore not always easy to match the one of the weapon and the one of the suppressor.

The most common threads on a handgun are definitely 1/2×28 TPI (also known as ½ UNEF) and M13.5×1 LH. These are 9×19 semi-automatic pistol threads. Our thread converter is intended to be screwed at the end of the barrel to change the standard.

Compatibilities of the thread adapter 1/2×28 TPI to M13.5×1 LH

At first everything was simple. Americans made ½ UNF threads on their 9mm handguns, and Europeans preferred metric threads for theirs. But today the market tends to standardize for the 1/2×28 TPI, even in Europe.

The 9×19 weapons on which our adapter can be screwed are (non exhaustive list) :

• CZ (P07, P09, P10…)
• FNH (509, 509C)
• Smith & Wesson M&P line
• Walther (PPQ M2 Navy, PDP SD…)

Note that this is an adapter for handguns. It will therefore only be able to cover 14 mm (0.55″) of male thread. Beware of PPCs (Pistol Caliber Carbine) that can exceed this thread length.

A thread converter made in France

We manufacture this thread adapter 1/2×28 TPI to M13.5×1 LH on the latest generation of CNC machines. Our operators are French and experienced, and therefore used to maintaining a high quality standard in precision machining.

In terms of materials, we use XC38 steel, also known as C35. In addition to its excellent machining capabilities, it reacts very well to hot bluing. Our surface treatment subcontractor, also French, performs the operation.

To facilitate the installation on the weapon, we make an oblique knurling on the external diameter of the part. Each adapter undergoes a rigorous control of its dimensions at each stage of manufacture.
