The traditional thread for AK assault rifles is M14x1 LH. It is therefore a metric thread of 14 mm in diameter, which is screwed counterclockwise. And since it is often difficult to find a muzzle device in this standard, we suggest you transform it into something else. This is the purpose of our thread adapter for AK47 and AKM.

This way, you will no longer be trapped in the world of silencers and muzzle brakes designed for AK. Because let’s face it, they are not always the best, nor the most available. For example, you can recycle the .30 caliber silencer from your bolt action rifle, or the flash hider of your favorite AR10.

It should be noted, however, that newer AKs such as the AK74, Bulgarian Arsenal AKs or the AK101 to AK108 are not threaded in M14x1 LH. For them, we offer a specific M24x1.5 silencer adapter.

In order to offer you as many possibilities as possible, we offer this converter in a maximum of output threads. Be careful, however, that not all these outlet threads can be bored to the same internal diameter. Some tolerate a smaller projectile diameter than others. Thus:

• The M14x1 LH to 1/2×20 TPI or 1/2×28 TPI has a maximum projectile diameter of 7 mm.
• The M14x1 LH to M13x1 or M14x1 has a maximum projectile diameter of 8 mm.
• The M14x1 LH to M15x1, 5/8×24 TPI, M16x1, M17x1 or M18x1 has a maximum projectile diameter of 9 mm.

So be careful, because the 7.62×39 mm is not always welcome, unlike the 5.45×39 mm or the .223 Remington. Also be careful if you use this M14x1 LH adapter for another weapon than an AK, which can be done.
