A 22 LR pistol is the ideal platform to enjoy a discreet subsonic shot. So we find many weapons manufacturers to offer .22 LR threaded pistols for the use of a suppressor. Unfortunately, if most of them opt for common threads, others persist in offering a proprietary thread. Then the user finds himself trapped in an exotic standard, incompatible with currents 22 LR silencers.
SIG Sauer’s mosquito belongs to this category. Its M9x0.75 thread will only be compatible with a few suppressors, that can be hard to find. Our silencer adapter for SIG mosquito is therefore usable for opening up the range of possibilities, generating a new, more exploitable interface. You can then choose the moderator of your choice, from the most economical to the most efficient.
Why choose ours?
When adding an accessory to the end of a barrel, concentricity is a crucial point. Improper alignment of the silencer can result in a significant dispersion of your impacts. At the extreme, it is also possible that the projectile comes into contact with the edges of its channel, causing the deterioration of the suppressor.
To avoid this, we make steel adapters on CNC machines. Each of them is carefully controlled after production. This ensures a strict adherence to the tolerances, guaranteeing the efficiency/safety of the adapter. Each part is then blued for flawless corrosion protection.
We do not recommend leaving a silencer mounted at the end of the barrel between two shooting sessions. On the other hand, the silencer adapter for SIG mosquito can remain screwed on the barrel permanently. In this case, we recommend the use of a barrel thread protector to preserve it from shocks.
Silencer adapter for Sig Mosquito : compatibilities
This custom part is made for 22 LR SIG mosquito with a threaded barrel. The end of the barrel is then already protruding from the slide, protected by a smooth ring. Under this ring, you find the M9x0.75 thread on which to screw our adaptor. It will turn this proprietary thread into 1/2 UNF or 1/2 UNEF thread (selectable).
Note that the 1/2 UNF is the standard thread for the 22 LR silencers in Europe. The UNEF 1/2 is the standard thread for 22 caliber weapons in the U.S.A. Choose yours from the drop-down menu to the right of the picture.
