How to use this silencer adapter for SIG & GSG 1911 ?

Our silencer adapter for SIG & GSG 1911 allow you to equip your handgun with a suppressor. You will enjoy more discreet shots, enough to shoot without earmuffs when using subsonic ammunitions. The SIG SAUER and GSG 1911 adapter must be screwed onto the M9x0.75 thread of your barrel, inside the slide. Doing so, a 1/2 UNF thread (1/2×20 TPI) or 1/2 UNEF thread (1/2×28 TPI) will protrude outside of it. All you need to do then is to screw on your silencer to this external thread. A barrel thread extension in a way.

Whatever your weapon, we strongly advise against leaving a silencer mounted permanently. On the other hand, you can leave the silencer adapter for SIG & GSG 1911 mounted on the weapon. Your pistol will gain some tactical look and you will just have to screw on your moderator before shooting. To protect the thread of the adaptor when the silencer is not on it, we also sell thread protectors.

Which firearm is compatible with this silencer adapter?

We manufacture this silencer adapter for the SIG 1911-22 pistol made by SIG Sauer in. 22 LR. But in practice, it can also be used on other threaded guns with M9x0.75 thread. For example, GSG 1911 (almost identical to SIG SAUER 1911) or first generation ISSC M22. Virtually, every .22 LR weapons whose barrel has a M9x0.75 thread and whose slide can allow through a 14 mm diameter accessory can benefit from it. Which suppressor can I mount on this silencer adapter for SIG & GSG 1911 ?

When ordering, you will choose the male thread of the silencer adapter between two possibilities. 1/2 UNF (also known as 1/2×20 TPI) or 1/2 UNEF (also known as 1/2×28 TPI). Major brands of suppressors manufacture their products in both standards, but some others only do one or the other. So please make sure that you have the correct compatibility between the chosen adapter and the intended silencer.

Generally, the 1/2×20 TPI thread is the standard for European weapons in. 22 LR. So it will be easier to find silencers in 1/2×20 TPI in Europe. Conversely, the 1/2×28 TPI is more used in the USA. It is therefore easier to find suppressors in 1/2×28 TPI there.
