For all fans of pellet guns, we offer a silencer adapter for Walther CP88. It will allow you to equip this CO2 airgun with a suppressor, to make its use more discreet. A specific accessory, necessary to reduce the shooting noise, and facilitate domestic sessions withour bothering the neighbourhood.

Of course, a pellet gun like the Walther CP88 does not use a pyrotechnic detonation. As a result, there are no burning gases to decompress out of the barrel. A silencer can nevertheless be useful for breaking the generated sound wave. A clear decrease of the shooting resonance in confined spaces is noted.

How to use the silencer adapter for Walther CP88?

This accessory mounts to the front of your Umarex WALTHER CP88pistol, replacing its original face. We deliver it with a new clamping screw, longer than the one that equips the weapon out of the box. The installation of this adapter is fully reversible, so you can put the weapon back in its original configuration at any time.

Beware, this adapter will not be compatible with the Umarex WALTHER CP88 competition.

Once the adapter is mounted, you have a 1/2×20 TPI thread ready to receive a silencer. This is the standard thread in Europe for the sound moderators in .22 caliber, sometimes also referred to as 1/2 UNF. This way you will access a lot of baffle silencers, more elaborate than empty airgun silencer.

Can I leave a silencer mounted on my pellet gun?

As a general rule, we do not recommend it. A suppressor who remains permanently attached to the end of the gun constitutes a space of almost enclosed air, conducive to condensation. This will cause corrosion phenomena, which can eventually degrade the inside of the barrel. So you will need to unscrew your silencer from the adaptor at the end of each shooting session.

On the other hand, you can leave the silencer adapter mounted on your Walther CP88 permanently. However, to protect its thread from shocks, we invite you to consider a barrel thread protector in 1/2 UNF.
