In 2022, Sig Sauer launches its P322 model. It’s a plinker, a recreational pistol for .22 LR enthusiasts. In particular, it offers a rare advantage for rimfire pistols: a high-capacity 20-shot magazine. Our silencer adapter for Sig P322 is designed for this innovative and popular weapon.

Since .22 LR ammunition is easy to silence, Sig Sauer has obviously thought of including a threaded barrel. But as on the Walther P22 or Ruger SR22, for example, this thread does not protrude from the slide. An adapter is therefore needed to extend it out of the front of the gun, converting it into a more common thread.

The user then benefits from a handgun with a traditional profile, but which can be upgraded at any time with a muzzle device.

How do I install the silencer adapter for Sig P322?

Installing our custom part is very simple:

1. Pull the slide on your Sig Sauer P322 and lock it back.
2. Unscrew the ring protecting the original 3/8×24 TPI thread at the end of the barrel.
3. Replace this thread protector with our adapter.
4. Release the slide.

You’ll then have a 1/2×28 TPI or 1/2×20 TPI male thread protruding from the front of the gun. All you have to do is screw on the silencer of your choice. To protect this protruding thread when no accessory is present, we offer a thread protector in 1/2 UNF or 1/2 UNEF.

Which suppressor should I use on it?

We ship our silencer adapter for Sig P322 worldwide. It was therefore necessary to offer you maximum compatibility when it came to suppressors. That’s why we produce this part in the two most common output threads for .22 LR.

So what’s the difference between the two?

• 1/2 UNF is also known as 1/2×20 TPI, and is the most common thread for .22 LR silencers in Europe.
• 1/2 UNEF is also known as 1/2×28 TPI, and is the most common thread for .22 LR silencers in the USA.

The external diameter of these threads is identical (1/2″), and only the number of Threads Per Inch (TPI) differs. The corresponding silencers are therefore not interchangeable, but the major brands produce accessories in both standards.
