Why a silencer adapter for 3/4×16 TPI oil filter ? Here in France, a sport shooter can easily buy a silencer for his long gun or handgun. But we know that in other countries, suppressors are only available after very restrictive procedures. Sometimes they are even banned.

One trick is to screw a car oil filter onto the end of your barrel instead of a real silencer. Oil filters are available everywhere, and the noise of the shot is thus easily reduced. All you have to do is convert the thread at the end of your barrel to the correct standard.

Which oil filter can you use with this thread converter ?

An oil filter has a female thread, like a suppressor. But there are several kinds. The adapter on this page will allow you to use all 3/4×16 TPI filters.

This includes but is not limited to filters for :

Please note that we bore the internal channel of our silencer adapter for 3/4×16 TPI oil filter to 10 mm. It will therefore be able to support the firing of a .22 LR, .223 Remington, .308 Winchester or 9×19 mm, but not a .45 ACP for example.

We machine this 3/4×16 TPI thread converter in XC38 / C35 steel. So, if the oil filter itself will have trouble withstanding more than a few sessions, our adapter can be used over and over again.

Each adapter undergoes an industrial hot bluing process that will protect it from corrosion. We also knurled the outside diameter to allow it to be tightened or loosened by hand.
