Mount a diopter front sight on your barrel thread
Yes, this time it is not a silencer or a flash hider that we’ll help you mount on your weapon. It’s a diopter front sight, or a globe sight as some call it. So make way for our 11mm diopter front sight mount for 1/2 UNF or 1/2 UNEF.
The idea is quite simple: using the thread that many weapons have at the end of the barrel to fit a 5/8″ dovetail rail. It is on this rail that you can tighten your diopter front sight.
We focus on the globe sight problem, because very often air rifles or .22 LR rifles used by shooters already have an 5/8″ rail at the rear. The installation of the aperture part therefore presents no difficulty.
We offer you here the interface to coincide at the front, otherwise nothing is possible.

That’s why we work in France on the latest generation of CNC machines. The concentricity is ensured, high end finish too.
In order not to weigh down your weapon, we make this adapter in 7075 T6 aluminum. It will thus be suitable for both a handgun and a long gun.
The 11mm dovetail rail on which you can tighten the globe sight has a usable length of 21 mm (.827″). This is more than enough for most accessories of this type.
How does it work ?
The 11mm diopter front sight mount for 1/2 UNF consists of several elements :
- The barrel extension (to be tightened on the thread of your weapon).
- Two transverse screws (to immobilize the sleeve on the extension).
- The sleeve (11mm dovetail rail carrier).
To tighten the barrel extension at the end of your weapon with a wrench, you have an 18 mm (23/32″) hexagon. Note that this extension is bored to 8 mm (.315″) diameter. All projectiles below this caliber are therefore welcome.
The extension screwed, you just have to slip on the sleeve on it and index it in line with the aperture sight. This indexing is validated by tightening the two transverse screws supplied.
It’s simple, effective and lightweight. Oops, we did it again.
As a reminder : 1/2 UNF = 1/2×20 TPI and 1/2 UNEF = 1/2×28 TPI.

The adapter is very well made and fits my CZ 457 Jaguar perfectly. The product description does not say how the adapter is indexed. The adapter is made in two pieces. The inner, threaded part, is tightened firmly on the barrel, and then the outer part with the dovetail is rotated and then secured with a set screw. This is a great design, very clean and well engineered. I am very happy with it.
